Our suite of learning resources are designed to increase the number of disadvantaged young people who, benefiting from high quality entrepreneurship education will develop their entrepreneurial skills. This will encourage them to develop, market and manage their own enterprise using opportunities provided by pop culture!
Although youth unemployment is slowing falling from its post-crisis peak, it remains persistently high, especially in our partners’ countries. Northern Ireland’s youth unemployment is 14.4%, four points above the UK average, while Ireland and Poland’s rates are 17%, rising to 30%+ in Croatia.
Northern Ireland has the lowest rate of total entrepreneurial activity among young people aged 18-24 years within the UK and also has the highest percentage of young people who are NEET across the UK. This is highly problematic, both for the individuals involved, but also at a societal level because of the lost opportunity for economic growth and the risks to social cohesion.
